Charlie Jones, Manager
Charlie was a manager with Brothers Cleaners for a few years in Raleigh and also ran their restoration dry cleaning department. He first got his passion for restaurants while serving at an Italian restaurant in north Raleigh called Marco’s Mulberry Street Trattoria. Charlie was brand new to the industry and Mark, the GM, took Charlie under his wing and showed him the ropes. It was very much a family style working experience, and it made a huge impression on Charlie. He joined the team at CBG as bar manager and cultivated a pretty killer craft can selection for guests. “I love working for Eschelon because of the passion and vision of G and the entire Executive team,” Charlie says. Now, Charlie is General Manager and very excited about the future of CBG and his growth with Eschelon.
Charlie is originally from Harwichport, MA, but has lived in Raleigh for 16 years. He lives with his American Bulldog, Zeke, who deposits little white hairs on everything he owns. Charlie loves to golf, and in his free time, you can often times find him on the golf course practicing for The Masters. He loves to craft unique cocktails and talk soccer to guests. If you love Manchester United, pull up a chair…
Ellen Bray, Manager
Ellen grew up in both Wisconsin and Virginia. She moved to Greensboro in high school and then moved to Raleigh in 2005. As a child, she started cooking for her family, and has always loved being in the kitchen. She went to NC State and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Communication Disorders, but because of her love of building communities people love to visit, Ellen decided to work in the service industry.
Ellen’s first job in Raleigh was at Caribou Coffee, where she worked for 8 years. She loves coffee and exploring different ways to brew the perfect cup. She is currently working on her SCAA Barista Certification through Counter Culture Coffee in Durham. After spending 10 years working during breakfast hours, Ellen is excited to move into dinner service at CBG.
In her spare time, Ellen is an NFL super fan. Her favorite team is the Minnesota Vikings, but she keeps up with every team.
